In Ukraine promise to increase scholarships / photos of UNIANPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed to simplify the conditions of admission to higher education institutions and is currently being considered the possibility of introducing a winter introductory campaign. “We all saw how this summer was. Therefore, I instructed the government to simplify the conditions of joining Ukrainian universities. The idea, in particular, was a winter introductory campaign, so that it was not necessary to wait a year, if for some reason it was not possible to pass.
According to the President, it takes about a week to work on the relevant questions.
Zelensky also announced an increase in scholarships for students from next year.
“We have also agreed with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, to work out of all students from next year. This is what we have not been doing for a long time,” the Head of State said.

The Verkhovna Rada examines a bill that provides for the emergence of so -called national scholarships: increased payments that will be able to provide students at the minimum wage level.
As reported by UNIAN, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Sergey Babak was concerned that talking about children who had gone abroad massively, and audiences of domestic higher education institutions at the beginning of the year would be empty and were exaggerated. According to him, this year more than 1 million 138 thousand applications were submitted, of which about 800 thousand were bachelor’s bachelor. And that’s more than last year. Babak says that there is no decline in interest in studying in Ukrainian WWIs. On the contrary, he emphasized, the introductory campaign “Active”.
The official also added that this year, not only the capital but also regional universities are chosen by the entrants. He also noted that 44.3% of applications were filed for budget places, and almost a third – 29.4% occur in Kiev. At the same time, the official said that twice less of such applications in Lviv region, then traditionally gone Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro.
