This is reported by the Ministry of Defense.The new resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1558 dated December 31, 2024 clarified some points in the rules for granting deferment for the specified categories of citizens. As explained in the ministry, students of professional and technical, professional pre-university and higher education institutions, interns and doctoral students receive a deferment for the entire semester, but not more than six months. Previously, this term was only three months.
At the same time, teachers receive a deferment immediately for the entire academic year. As the Ministry of Defense emphasized, this is the period from September 1 to August 31 next year. But this applies only to those teachers who are employed at a rate not lower than 0.75.
“Important: vacations and the end of the school year are not a reason for losing the right to postponement. Changes to the resolution are aimed at simplifying the procedure and reducing the burden on TCC and SP employees, who previously had to process a huge number of documents every three months,” the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
