One of the citizens of Bulgaria involved in the creation of a new casino at the Premier Palace Hotel in the center of Kiev has ties with Russian special services. This is stated in the material of Telegraf.
According to the investigation, the owner of the GPP Premier-Palace, Georgy Papazki, as well as a related businessman Mikhail Sevdiev, in 2024–2025 registered at the hotel two firms planning to engage in gambling. At the same time, both have a joint business in Bulgaria – Pate Play Ltd., specializing in the development of playing software.
The authors of the material point out that Papazi is one of Bulgaria’s most influential gambling operators and a partner of the scandalous businessman Vasily Bozhkov, who is under US sanctions for “efforts to create Russian influence on Bulgarian authorities.”
The publication also states that according to the Bulgarian media, Bozhkov was personally rescued from the UAE extradition by the director of external intelligence of the Russian Federation Sergey Narishkin. And after this financing of the pro -Russian Bulgarian Party, the MICH went to Papazi, which, according to journalists, may be relevant to money laundering of Russian descent through a gambling business.
In addition, the papasky appeared in criminal proceedings, in particular in the case of custom murder in Bulgaria in the 1990s. His brother, Walter Papazki, was convicted of this case, and George himself, according to the Bulgarian press, was in the wanted Interpol for a long time.
The Premier Palace Hotel, which is planned to open a casino, is currently the subject of trial – the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine seeks its confiscation as an asset owned by the Sub -Russian businessmen – Alexander Babakov, Yevgeny Giner and Mikhail Voivodin.
The publication also notes that due to the reform of the industry regulation and replacement of dowels with the new Pleititi Agency, licenses are currently suspended, but Papazki and Sevdiev are actively trying to obtain them.
