As the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga reported on the X network, he had a telephone conversation with his new Dutch colleague David van Wiel.
“I am grateful for the firm wording confirming unwavering support for Ukraine, including 3 billion euros in annual military aid until 2029, as well as the readiness to support Ukraine on its path to membership in the EU and NATO,” Sybiga noted.
Sybiga added that he informed his colleague about the security situation in Ukraine and expressed his gratitude for the recently provided aid package for the Ukrainian energy industry.
Sybiga and Van Wiel also exchanged views on the bilateral dialogue between the countries and paid special attention to promoting the creation of a special tribunal to ensure responsibility for the crime of aggression committed by Russia against Ukraine.
It should be noted that the new Prime Minister of the country, Rob Yetten, stated that the war in Ukraine concerns the security of the entire European continent. He emphasized that he will not hold a dialogue with the Kremlin, as there are no signs that he wants to end the war against Ukraine.
“As long as the war continues, we will continue to support the Ukrainian people. Therefore, we will continue our long-term financial and military support and will continue to advocate the use of frozen rockets,” the politician said.
Help from the NetherlandsAs UNIAN reported, the Netherlands offers to provide Ukraine with 15 billion euros from the European loan amounting to 90 billion euros for the purchase of weapons in the United States.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoff, believes that the process of Ukraine’s acquisition of membership may take several years. In this regard, it is currently not possible to talk about Ukraine’s rapid accession to the European Union.
