Most of the fake certificates are not issued by doctors at all, say the Ministry of Health / collage UNIAN, photo UNIANMost of the “VLK certificates” that can be purchased on the Internet are not sold by doctors, but by ordinary fraudsters. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko told about this in an interview with Suspilno.The minister emphasized that the process of passing the military medical commission will be digitized as early as 2022. According to him, from the moment when a person comes to a hospital authorized to perform VLC, and until receiving a medical report, the entire document flow takes place “digitally”. Therefore, the Ministry of Health understands which doctor prescribed the examination and what exactly, as well as what conclusion he made in the final document.
“If a criminal case is then considered, all these documents can be obtained quite quickly, according to the judge’s decision, because otherwise there is no access to the medical secret, except in court,” Lyashko said.
At the same time, the minister admits that among doctors there are also those who are ready to break the law.
“I won’t tell you the number now, so as not to make a mistake, but there are criminal cases. And as soon as certain cases are discovered, together with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption – UNIAN, we always analyze what we need to improve in our processes in order to to prevent such cases in the future,” said Lyashko.
Mobilization and VLK: the latest newsAs UNIAN wrote, the Ministry of Defense plans to inspect institutions that conduct military medical commissions. The ministry says that such checks are designed to ensure the proper implementation of mobilization rules and medical standards as such, “so that there are no violations as a phenomenon.”
We also reported that the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health are planning to reform military medical commissions. The main goal is to separate the administrative part of the process from the medical part in order to avoid abuses to the benefit and detriment of conscripts. In particular, conscripts will no longer need to go to the TCC to undergo medical examination – they will be able to independently choose the hospital where they will undergo a medical examination.
