“In particular, it has been emphasized that the Ukrainian side supports and develops good contacts with all international partners that comprehensively help our country against the background of Russian full -scale armed aggression,” the statement reads.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called such actions of Slovak authorities and added that they not only harm the relations of Ukraine and Slovakia, but also undermine the unity of the European Union and the Euro -Atlantic community in counteracting Russian aggression.

The Office urged Bratislava to return to constructive dialogue. At the same time, the Deputy Minister expressed “the deep gratitude of the people of Slovakia for all the support and assistance received from the beginning of full -scale Russian aggression.”

On the eve of Slovak media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country called the Ambassador of Ukraine Miroslav Castran to express a “sharp protest” against Kyiv’s statements on the rhetoric of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo. The Office regarded them as an interference in the internal affairs of Slovakia.
At 7 am on January 1, Ukraine “in the interests of national security” stopped the transportation of Russian natural gas in its territory.
The main European importers of Russian gas, Slovakia and Austria have already provided alternative supply routes, although Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo has declared “dramatic consequences” for the entire EU, demanding to restore the transit. The Slovak Prime Minister did not exclude measures in response.
