Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Denis Kurbatov told this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“The average salary is about 12-15 thousand hryvnias. But there are different situations, different laboratories, institutes where many international grants, projects with business. There the level of salaries can be significantly higher,” he said.
For example, Kurbatov gave his experience at Sumy State University, where he headed the research part.
“There were such months that the salary of a researcher could sometimes be a million hryvnias. Of course, it is not a month, and of course not all, but there were such cases. It is within the framework of the implementation of large projects to order business,” he explained.
He noted that these were projects such as engineering, development of pumping, compressor equipment, Aiti, software, including for defense and export.
“There were many international European horizons of Europe. There are also normal salaries and funding. He stressed.
Salary in Ukraine is newsAccording to OLX survey, more than half of the worked Ukrainians, which is 53%, receive a salary, which is at least 25% less than the average – up to UAH 15,000. It is noted that from 15,000 to 30,000 receive 31%, from 30,000 to 50,000 – 10%. More than 50,000 earn only 6% of respondents.
At the same time, the salaries of officials in Ukraine much exceed the country’s average and continue to grow. According to the Ministry of Finance, in June, the average salary in central state authorities amounted to UAH 59.6 thousand. In the year it increased by 9.2%, but it is less than inflation during this period, which was 14.3%.
