The Ministry of Defense reacted to the legal precedent after the erroneous DNA examination.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense in Telegram.
“We officially declare that the Ministry of Defense has no reason or intention to encourage the Daletskyi family to return the funds,” the Ministry of Defense said.
Thus, the Ministry of Defense reacted to the situation with the return from Russian captivity of a fighter of the 24th mechanized brigade named after King Danylo Nazar Daletsky.
The soldier was presumed dead from September 2022 and was officially buried in 2023 after a mistaken DNA identification. Daletskyi’s family received payments for his death.
Nazar Daletsky’s return from captivityEarlier, the mass media wrote that the family of soldier Nazar Daletsky could be obliged to return payments for the death of a serviceman in the amount of 15 million hryvnias. The soldier was officially buried in 2023.
It later turned out that the DNA test was wrong. The military man was released from Russian captivity on February 5.
