In 2024, more than 1,300 samples of weapons and military equipment were put into operation.
Oncilla-Shturm armored personnel carriers replenished the park of domestic military equipment / photo gur.gov.uaThis year, the Ministry of Defense put into operation more than 1,300 samples of weapons and military equipment, and almost 75% of them are of domestic production.This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense. “This indicator testifies to the high efficiency of Ukrainian defense enterprises, which in the conditions of war not only provide the needs of the front, but also demonstrate competitiveness at the international level,” Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov noted.
In particular, the largest number of novelties among unmanned aerial systems (UAVs/UAVs) – 251 samples have been codified. It is also about 169 samples of ammunition; 153 samples of electronic warfare (ERW) and reconnaissance (ER); 108 samples of engineering means; 97 means of communication; 57 ground-based missile systems.
Klimenkov emphasized that this result was made possible thanks to the close cooperation of the Ministry of Defense with Ukrainian manufacturers and international partners.
The park of domestic military equipment was replenished with Oncilla-Shturm armored personnel carriers, which are designed to perform a wide range of combat tasks.
The Oncilla-Shturm’s armor and design feature provide protection for the crew and troops during small arms fire, debris and explosive objects.
Ukrainian weapons developmentAn unmanned aircraft complex named “Black Widow” has been approved for delivery to the Armed Forces. The new Ukrainian-made bomber drone is a tactical-level drone. An experienced pilot can use them both during the day and at night.
It was also noted that since the beginning of 2024, specialists of the Ministry of Defense codified and allowed for operation in the Defense Forces of Ukraine nine land-based robotic complexes of Ukrainian production. They are designed to perform various tasks on the battlefield.
