Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country directly acknowledged the fact of strikes by drones and missiles, in particular by “Daggers”, but they claim that the strikes were aimed at energy facilities that “ensure the work of the Ukrainian military industry”.
At the same time, it is stated that this is allegedly “a response to terrorist attacks in Ukraine.”
“In response to Ukraine’s terrorist attacks on civilian objects on the territory of Russia, tonight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike with high-precision, long-range land- and air-based weapons, in particular hypersonic Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, as well as strike drones against energy infrastructure objects that ensure the work of of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine,” the Russian ministry said.
At the same time, the Russians claim that allegedly “the goal of the strike was achieved, all the intended objects were hit.”
Attack on Ukraine on October 22As UNIAN reported, four people, including two children, were killed in the Kyiv region due to a Russian strike. As a result of the attack on Kyiv, two people were killed and 5 more were injured. The consequences of the attack were recorded in several districts of the capital. Also this afternoon, a Russian drone struck a kindergarten in Kharkiv. One death is known. Seven people were injured.
According to the Air Force, Russia launched 28 missiles over Ukraine (15 of them ballistic, in particular, 4 Daggers) and 405 UAVs. The main direction of the attack is the Kyiv region. Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Odesa regions were also affected. Direct hits of 12 missiles and 55 attack UAVs were recorded at 26 locations, and debris (debris) fell at 19 locations.
