However, they admitted that such an issue could be considered in the indefinite future.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the country, Vladyslav Kosyniak-Kamysh, in an interview with the Voice of America. “We rule out the possibility of Polish military presence on the territory of Ukraine,” he said.
According to Kosyniak-Kamish, the decision to send peacekeepers to Ukraine should not be made by a group of countries, NATO should play a key role in this matter.
The Polish minister noted that his country is developing a solution on this matter just in case, but until the peace process is completed, there are no plans to send troops into Ukraine. At the same time, he emphasized that no peace process is possible without the participation of Ukraine.
The issue of peacekeepers in UkraineMilitary expert Ivan Stupak outlined three scenarios for the possible introduction of peacekeepers into Ukraine. Of them, the least likely option is when the peacekeepers stop the war themselves. In his opinion, it is more likely that the peacekeepers will appear only after the ceasefire.
At the same time, another expert Oleg Bilokolos considers peacekeepers to be an unrealistic idea at all, since Western countries do not have the political will and are not ready to spend money on it.
