Nikolayenko claims that the fight for supervisors’ charters has been going on for a month.
As journalist Tetyana Nikolayenko reported in her column on Censor.NET, this was preceded by several meetings between the supervisory authority and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to her, the Ministry of Defense conveyed its reservations at the last meeting.
“On Tuesday, the supervisor, having read the documents provided by the MoD, decided to extend the contract. Today, I received a disapproval from the MoD,” she wrote.
The journalist claims that the struggle for the supervisory charters has been going on for a month in the context of “so who should make the final decision.” According to Nikolayenko, therefore, it is important to clarify certain nuances here. She noted:
Nikolayenko recalled the words of a Defense Ministry lawyer at the anti-corruption committee:
“The issue of appointing and dismissing the director of the agency remains within the exclusive competence of the supervisory board. This is how it is formulated in the current version of the statute. A clause was added that the ministry approves these decisions before the supervisory board adopts them. The idea was solely that the ministry would contribute its forces and means in order to check suitable candidates, help and secure the situation when a person who has not been fully checked becomes the manager interference in the competence of the supervisory board”.
According to her, this whole story is not about personalities, but about management.
“We already had problems due to the dismissal of Kudrytskyi. Can we finally put down this rake and stop dancing on it?” she added.
