For military personnel who participated in hostilities, seniority is calculated according to a certain formula.
The Ministry of Defense explained how the seniority of combatants is calculated / photo 148 separate artillery brigade of Zhytomyr DSHVServicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are entitled to a military pension for 25 or more years of service. At the same time, the amount of payments depends, among other things, on the length of military service, and during the calculations, the military’s participation in military operations is also taken into account.
The Ministry of Defense explained how seniority is calculated for combatants. This is regulated by the Law “On pension provision of persons released from military service and certain other persons”.
According to this Law, until the years of service are used to determine the size of the military pension one month of military service is counted as three months. But it is only possible provided that, during this month, the military man directly participated in the implementation of measures necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine, the protection of the safety of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, being directly in the districts and during the implementation of the specified measures during the martial law.
In order to correctly calculate such seniority, commanders of military units, institutions, institutions, and military administration bodies are tasked with attaching certificates of participation in similar events directly to the personal files of military personnel.
Military pension in UkraineAccording to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the minimum military pension in Ukraine cannot be lower than 3,854 hryvnias. As a result of indexation, this category of citizens now mostly receives from 8,000-9,000 hryvnias.
At the same time, the military pension for disability of the 3rd group is 60% of the monetary support. With the presence of the second group, it will be 80%, and with the first – 100%.
