The head of the KMVA wants to involve the Security Service of Ukraine and the police in considering the business trips of city officials abroad

Departures of representatives of Kyiv local self-government and employees of the Kyiv City Military Administration abroad must be coordinated with the Kyiv Defense Council – this is the opinion expressed by the new head of the Kyiv City Military Administration on January 7.

“Today, coordination of departures of officials and employees of the military administration is carried out without the involvement of the city’s Defense Council. In the context of martial law, I consider it expedient to consider such issues at the Defense Council,” he said.

Tkachenko also emphasized that the officials’ business trips are financed by the Kyiv community. Therefore, according to him, each such departure must be justified and considered individually.

“I initiate the involvement of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine in the consideration of business trips. This approach is already successfully used by military administrations in neighboring regions,” added the head of the KMVA.

On the morning of January 7, Timur Tkachenko announced that at the next meeting of the Defense Council, he plans to consider, among others, the issue of business trips abroad “of all representatives of local self-government bodies of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv and employees of the KMVA” with the approval of the Defense Council.
