In 2025, Ukraine collect 1.5 million tons of less grain and oil crops than last year.

Such data were voiced by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky in an interview with BusinessCozor. Last year, 26.9 million tons of corn, 22.4 million tons of wheat and 5.3 million tons of barley were harvested.
Separately, oil crops are expected to be:
- 12 million tons of sunflower (+1 million tons by 2024),
- 5 million tonnes of soy (-1.65 million tons),
- 3 million tons of rapeseed (-0.6 million tons).
The total figure for cereals and oil should be 76 million tons. This is 1.5 million tons less than last year, and it will be less oil. According to the State Statistics Service, in 2024 the total gross fee amounted to 77.5 million tons.
Due to the heat and lack of irrigation, the crops were completely lost in an area of about 386 thousand hectares. In some places, the yield by 1.2 million hectares decreased by 30-50%.
The most affected regions are mostly in the steppe zone, where irrigation is a critical factor. The main source of water for agrarians was the Kakhovka reservoir, destroyed by Russian aggressors on June 6, 2023.
Vysotsky notes that due to the actions of the Russian Federation, agrarians are not collected this year from 3 to 4 million tons of grain and oil.
Ukrainian harvest – preliminary forecastsThe deputy chairman of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada estimated the harvest of vegetables, fruits and berries. According to his estimates, the yield will be 11% less than last year.
Earlier, UNIAN was already making a crop forecast this year. Separately noted that bread prices would continue to grow by the end of the year.
