The Cabinet of Ministers announced the expansion of winter support programs for Ukrainian families.
“We are not planning any increases,” the statesman said. The Prime Minister noted that the government not only implements new programs to support Ukrainian families, but also expands existing ones.
In addition to the unchanged winter tariffs, “Winter support” includes:
- Payment of 1,000 hryvnias for all citizens;
- A program of affordable subsidies for those who need help paying utility bills;
- Teachers’ allowance – starting in January, each teacher will receive an additional payment of at least 1,000 hryvnias;
- Expanding the program of affordable medicines;
- The possibility for the families of immigrants to issue a subsidy for housing rent from (from 2025);
- Free hot meals for students of lower grades;
- Financial assistance during December to every low-income family, as well as IDP families who have children or adults with disabilities of the 1st group (the amount of assistance is 6.5 thousand hryvnias for each child).
Shmyhal added that these are not all “Winter Support” programs – the government plans to add and expand the initiative in the near future.
“Winter support” – the latest news Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about payments for citizens, namely the “eSupport” program, which provides for the possibility of receiving a thousand hryvnias for every Ukrainian.
According to the head of state, the initiative is an important step to support people this winter. The president added that it can be transformed into a “national donation” program.
It was also reported that in the “Action” application, those who wish can already apply for a “thousand of Zelenskyi”. Instructions on how to do this have been published.
