The next step will be the construction of the Eurocolia route to Lviv. This was reported by Viceremier -Minister for Recovery – Minister of Community and Territories Development Alexei Kuleb.
According to him, already on September 12, direct trains will go from Uzhgorod to Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna. It will mean new opportunities for people: travel, training, work, business.
“The next big step is the European Collection from the border of Poland to Lviv. It will make the city a powerful transport hub at the intersection of the European Union and Ukraine,” Kuleba said.
He also noted that there are already preliminary agreements with international partners for the start of construction.
In addition, the government is working on the expansion of Eurocolies in several directions. The plans are also new areas in Transcarpathia and Volyn, which will provide routes with the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. This will create the opportunity to get a new cargo corridor from Ukrainian industrial centers to European ports and markets. In total, ten directions have been identified for implementation.
Eurocolia in Ukraine is the latest news On September 6, it became known that Ukrzaliznytsia opened the sale of tickets for trains from Uzhgorod through Chop to the Cities of the European Union with a new Eurocolia. From September 12, direct passenger trains from the European College to Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest will begin from the regional center of Transcarpathia.
In July, it was reported that the European Union decided to allocate 76 million euros of grant assistance for the implementation of the first stage of construction of Eurocolia in Ukraine.
