ua.depositphotos.comThe delay of the government with the adoption of the decisions already prepared and agreed by all interested parties to regulate marketing contracts in the pharmaceutical market contradicts the interests of consumers and patients. This was stated by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Nation, Medical Assistance and Health Insurance Yuri Zaslavsky.
“More than three months have passed since the temporary prohibition of marketing treaties. During this time, the government had to resolve this issue for a long time. All the necessary public discussions, hearing were passed. All stakeholders have provided their recommendations and received appropriate conclusions. No reasons to delay.”
According to the deputy, inaction in this direction only increases the problems of the market, affecting the availability of medicines for Ukrainians.
“As a result, the final consumer loses – the patient. He does not receive a fair price for medicines. And the disproportionate imbalance in the market leads to unjustified extra profits of manufacturers and losses of other participants in the supply chain of medicines,” Zaslavsky added.
He stressed that the relevant project of the decision that will make the medicine more accessible, has long been agreed and has long been lying on the table of government officials.
