In April-May 2025, a number of working meetings were held with the participation of representatives of the NERCEP, the Ministry of Energy and the gas sector.

Gas produce notes that in April-May 2025 a number of working meetings were held with the participation of representatives of the NERCEP, the Ministry of Energy and the gas sector. During the discussions, the parties focused on problems that arose due to large -scale infrastructure damage due to Russian shelling in the first quarter of this year.
“The Association expresses gratitude to the NERCEP and the Ministry of Energy for organizing meetings, as well as for discussing possible ways to resolve these issues, which have become one of the most serious challenges for the sector since the beginning of the war,” the appeal reads.
At the request of state bodies, the Member Company of the Association provided official letters with detailed information on the ordered and used capacities, volumes of non-conditional gas, as well as the amount of appropriate payments.
At the same time, the extras emphasized: “According to the provisions of the Statute of the Association and the current legislation of Ukraine, the Association has no right to collect or use information that is commercial and is confidential.”
“The Association wants to emphasize the urgent importance of these issues for the gas sector,” the appeal added.
It is also a need to allow gas companies whose objects were affected by attacks, to adjust the already ordered capacity within the current gas year. It is proposed to take into account unused but paid capacities in future orders.
Separately, the Association was asked to provide for the possibility of release of companies from payment of fines for gas supply at the points of entrance to the GTS, where the infrastructure was damaged due to shelling, which caused an increase in non -conditional gas supply.
We will remind, the founder of the National Association of Mining Industry of Ukraine Kseniya Orinchak also stated that the state should support the gas companies affected by shelling, and not impose penalties on them for temporary deviation from quality standards.
