G7 ministers have argued for a long statement / photo ua.depositphotos.comThe head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Great Seven made a joint statement about Ukraine following the meeting in Quebec, despite the special position of the United States, which has been outlined in the last one and a half months. The statement refers to “unwavering support” of Ukraine in “protection of its territorial integrity and the right to exist.”
The ministers also “applauded” Ukraine for their commitment to “immediate” termination of hostilities and called on Russia to agree to the ceasefire and fully fulfill it. US position on UkraineEarlier, the UN Security Council approved a neutral resolution of the United States on the occasion of the third anniversary of the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Neenza recognized “constructive changes” in the US position on conflict. He said that the resolution is “not perfect” but “the starting point for future efforts on peaceful settlement.”
The resolution is paid the death of people in the “Russian -Ukrainian conflict”, confirm that the goal of the UN is to maintain peace and security and to settle the disputes peacefully, and call for the early cessation of conflict and the establishment of strong peace.
