In France, they are convinced that the pressure on the Russian Federation should be increased.

According to the UNIAN correspondent, the Minister of European Affairs of France, Benjamen Haddad, said this at a press conference in Kiev.
The Minister listed the military assistance provided to Ukraine, including the SCalp long-range missiles, Caesar howls, the Mirage-200 fighters, as well as the preparation of Anna Kyivska brigade, and promised that “we will continue to do it”.
In addition, Benjamen Haddad reminded that French President Emmanuel Macron is in Washington today to “continue a respectful and honest dialogue with” US President Donald Trump. In particular, Macron should inform Trump that France supports the “peace” approach.
“And in order to succeed in this, we must continue to support Ukraine on the spot. We must increase the pressure on Russia, which is why we congratulate today’s approval of the 16th Package of Sanctions against Ukraine,” Haddad said.
The French minister added that Ukrainians should sit at the negotiation table where their safety should be discussed. He also defends the position that Europeans should be at the negotiation table.
“And there can be no fair and long peace without reliable security guarantees, and in the long run, Europeans should also be intensified and responsible. And France is ready to continue responsibility with partners in this connection,” he said.
According to him, the safety of Ukraine is the safety of “all of us”.
Macron about peace in UkraineAs UNIAN reported earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that peace in Ukraine can only be achieved through negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. He called on the world community to work on it.
“We share the belief that peace in Ukraine is possible only through negotiations that will unite Russia and Ukraine at one table. Peace is possible, and the international community should be mobilized,” French President said.
