The DPRK has previously promised to develop submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles, and conducted test launches of such rockets from underwater platforms. North Korea is also engaged in the development of nuclear submarines.
The Academy of Sciences said that, apparently, North Korea receives “different technologies” for the development of submarines.
However, the minister stated that it was premature that Pyongyang had conducted a testing of the ballistic missile of the submarine base (BRPP) from the submarine.
According to South Korean intelligence, in the last two years, North Korea and Russia have significantly expanded military cooperation – Pyongyang has sent thousands of its servicemen to participate in the war against Ukraine in exchange for economic and military and technical assistance.

In the new weaponry, KN-23 ballistic missile could be combined with a hypersonic planning unit. KN-23 is one of the weapons that North Korea supplied Russia during its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Analysts believe that this rocket could be modified in hypersonic on the basis of checking the combat characteristics.
The media also reported that the DPRK developed their own Himars jet system.
