The head of the Ministry of Health announced this on the Facebook social network.
The name of the doctor killed by Russia is Serhii Mykolayovych Smolyak. He was 56 years old. He worked at the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine.
“When the emergency medical team arrived at the place of shelling of a residential building, the enemy struck again. A medical worker was killed. Four more doctors were injured. Five rescuers were also among the wounded,” Lyashko said.
According to his data, four people were killed and 24 were injured in Kyiv that night.
At the same time, as of this morning, 16 victims were hospitalized, and others received help on the spot.
Lyashko added that residential buildings and civilian objects in four districts of the capital suffered the greatest destruction – a shopping center, a sanatorium, a children’s playground in the yard of a residential building.
There is also damage to critical infrastructure. In some districts, there are interruptions with electricity and water supply.
At the same time, the police of the Kyiv region reported that private houses and vehicles were damaged in the region from the attack of the Russian Federation. Five people were injured. Among them is a little girl.
“Three private houses, one high-rise building and a domestic trailer were damaged in the Brovar district. A family was injured as a result of the enemy drone hitting. Three adults and a 5-year-old girl were taken to the hospital. One more man was injured, and he was given medical assistance on the spot,” the report says.
In addition, 2 residential buildings, a garage and a car were damaged in Boryspil Oblast.
A house and a fence were also damaged in the Vyshgorod district. In Obukhiv Oblast, an economic structure and a warehouse were damaged.
Patrol police response teams, investigative and operative teams, Kyiv Region police explosives officers and State Emergency Service workers are working at the scene of the events.
