According to Pavel, the new US administration has high hopes for the termination of the war, especially given that US President Donald Trump said during the election campaign he said that “24 hours will be enough to resolve the conflict.” However, considering that the war between the two major countries has been going on for more than three years, it is obvious that it will be extremely difficult to stop in a short time, “especially when there is no sufficient will by the country that began this war – Russia,” the Czech President emphasized.
“I believe that more rounds of negotiations will be needed to reach the ceasefire, and even more to reach an agreement on any peaceful agreement,” he said.
At the same time, he noted that, with its massive drone attacks, Russia is trying to “sell” the Ukrainian people and to ensure that people in Ukraine demand from power to termination of war on all conditions.
However, the Czech President believes that Russia will not work.
“I believe that this will not happen, because such attacks only harden the Ukrainian people, and do not make it more pulmonary and prone to any questionable agreements,” he emphasized.
