During the meeting, the party of the defense, in particular, assured that Chernyshov was not related to the apartments in question, did not know where they are, and never was, and that he did not exceed his official powers.
Protection considers the suspicion completely unjustified and asks to refuse to grant the request for a measure of restraint.
Chernyshov himself said during the meeting that the suspicion “has no objective grounds”, which is about the events of three years ago, as well as that he was never summoned to NABU.
In particular, speaking of “discounts on investment contracts for certain individuals”, he assured:
“I have not received any discounts, I will not receive or plan to receive. These apartments, these investment contracts are not personally interested in me, I have no need for them and never had.”
At the same time, the prosecutor asked for a request to satisfy and apply to Chernyshov a preventive measure in the form of a pledge of 120 million 2 thousand 668 UAH.
In addition, he asked to put a number of procedural responsibilities on Chernyshov. Chernyshov’s case – what is knownAs reported by UNIAN, after returning from a business trip Chernyshov, who from 2020 to 2022 was the Minister of Community and Territories Development, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office declared him about suspicion of abuse of office and an unlawful benefit.
NABU noted that one of the capital developers developed a scheme of illegal obtaining of a land plot in Kiev under the construction of a residential complex. To do this, he addressed the head of the Ministry of Regional Development, who, together with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Regional Development, adviser to the Minister and the Director of the State Enterprise, created the conditions for the transfer of the section to this SE, which illegally concluded with the “required” construction company investment contracts.
Under these treaties, the developer had to transfer part of future apartments in the amount proportional to the value of the land.
NABU noted that for the successful implementation of the equipment, the developer “rewarded” the minister and his identified persons with a great discount on apartments in already consolidated residential complexes. With it, the cost of a square meter was from 1 thousand UAH to 8 thousand UAH at the minimum market value of such apartments about 30 thousand UAH per square meter. m.
NABU and SAP sent a request to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine in the form of a bail of UAH 120 million to VICS. In addition, the investigators went to court with a request for his removal from office.
