ua.depositphotos.comThe Cabinet of Ministers plans to make a decision as soon as possible to regulate marketing contracts in the medicinal product market, which will partially restore market mechanisms, restore competition and help reduce medicines for drugs for Ukrainians.
The People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuri Zaslavsky reported about it, noting that the relevant project of the Cabinet resolution had passed all approval and received support for the absolute majority of market participants.
“After resolving the government, the issue of marketing is every reason to expect a reduction in medicines for Ukrainians. This is an important step for restoring fair competition in the market and reducing the financial burden on patients,” Zaslavsky stressed.
According to him, the prohibition of marketing contracts introduced in March led to an increase in prices for most drugs. The cost reduction occurred only with respect to the so-called TOP-100 medicines, of which about half are important for patients, while prices for the rest have increased.
The deputy stressed that the launch of market mechanisms corresponds to the interests of consumers, business and the state. He also thanked the President’s Ministry of Health and the Presidential Office for providing a comprehensive discussion and revision of the project, which is expected to be adopted in the coming days.
