Bratislava believes that Ukrainian politicians interfere with Slovakia’s internal affairs.
“Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic has summoned the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovakia Miroslav Castran, who was a decisive protest against the statements of the Ukrainian side, which we regard as an interference in the internal affairs of the Slovak Republic,” the statement reads.
The Slovak edition of Dennik N writes that yesterday’s statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was a direct reason for such a reaction, in which Fitz was advised not to look for the enemies of Slovakia in Ukraine and to “look in the mirror”. Ukrainian diplomats also said that “Robert Fitzo and individual parliamentary figures of Slovakia were poisoned by Russian propaganda.”
Ukrainian-Slovak diplomatic conflictAccording to UNIAN, the day before the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo called President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky’s enemy of his state. All because Ukraine does not want to transport Russian gas. It was for this statement at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and gave Fitz’s advice to seek the enemies of Slovakia in the mirror.
A few days earlier, Fitzo criticized Zelensky, accusing him of supporting folk anti -government protests that covered Slovakia. All because the Ukrainian president wrote a short post in Twitter: “Bratislava is not Moscow. Slovakia is Europe” and reposing a photo from protests in the Slovak capital. Because of this, Fitzo accused Zelensky of “inadequate interference in the internal affairs of the Slovak Republic.”
