In Ukraine, it is disappointed that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo is the Rupor of the Kremlin.
In particular, Deputy Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko expressed a deep disappointment that Prime Minister Robert Fitzo is currently a Kremlin’s mouthpiece and, neglecting the Slovak Republic’s belonging to the European Union, resorts to logical actions.
In addition, the Deputy Minister noted that such actions by representatives of the Slovak authorities are unacceptable, especially in the context of Russia’s unprecedented aggression against Ukraine, and do serious harm not only to traditionally good relations between Ukraine and Slovakia, but also undermine the unity of the European Union and the Euro -Atlantic community in counteracting the aggressor state.
“Attempts on the Government of Slovakia to maintain the dependence on the supply of Russian energy in spite of the co -operation of the EU and European partners to reduce such dependence and diversify energy sources, as well as ignoring the arguments of the Ukrainian side to deprive Russia of terror funding against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people,” in the message.
In this regard, the official Bratislava is called to end such practice and return to constructive dialogue and development of good neighborly relations between our countries and peoples.
Exacerbation of relations between Ukraine and SlovakiaAs reported by UNIAN, on January 29 it became known that against the background of exacerbation of diplomatic quarrel between Ukraine and Slovakia, the Slovak Foreign Ministry protested Ukrainian Aviation in Bratislava Miroslav Castran. The direct reason for such a reaction was the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in which Fitzo was advised not to look for the enemies of Slovakia in Ukraine and to “look in the mirror”.
On January 28, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo named President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky’s enemy of his state.
Separately, Zelensky responded to the threats of the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo to block the EU if Kiev does not restore Russian gas transit. In particular, he recalled US President Donald Trump’s decision to export liquefied gas to Europe. The President of Ukraine reminded the Slovak Prime Minister that it is necessary to pay not only money, but also independence and sovereignty for Russian gas.
