“As one of the largest donors of Ukraine and with our NATO allies, Sweden will continue to contribute to fast and significant supplies to Ukraine,” Christerson guaranteed.
He stressed that the allies should be united as soon as possible to stop the war in Ukraine. In his opinion, time is crucial.
“The sooner we all unite to force Russia to end its cruel war against Ukraine, the more lives will be saved,” he stated.
Sweden helpAt the end of June, it became known that Sweden would buy a long -range weapon for Ukraine capable of reaching Russia. The Armed Forces will be adopted for two to three years. Minister of Defense of the country Michael Klessin did not name specific weapons models, but said that it was a winged missile and jet artillery.
Sweden has become a member of NATO in 2023 and since then significantly increases the costs of its defense, modernize its own military-industrial complex and infrastructure. It also transmits weapons, equipment and financing to Ukraine.
