Such a statement was made by Deputy Minister of Defense Serhii Melnyk.

“I want to emphasize that it (BZVP – UNIAN) is mandatory for absolutely everyone. And if students for some reason cannot pass the exam or pass it as “unsatisfactory”, if they refuse to take the military oath – they will not be able to continue in the future studies in higher educational institutions,” he said.

According to Melnyk, in connection with Russian aggression, every citizen of Ukraine must learn military techniques and undergo military training:

“This will bring benefits in the future not only in military service, but also in civilian life.”
