The pilot project of basic social assistance is designed for two years.
The Prime Minister noted that instead of five different payments, the basic social assistance / UNIAN collage will now be in force, photos of ua.depositphotos.com, freepik.comA new service for basic social assistance, which brings together several types of state support, has been launched in Ukraine. From now on, Ukrainian families can apply for this type of support online.
This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
“Instead of five different payments, basic social assistance will now be in place. It will allow it to be more and easier to support families in difficult life circumstances,” the Prime Minister said.
It is in particular about low -income families, single mothers and children whose parents are evading alimony.
According to her, the amount of assistance is calculated individually. The amount is tied to the base value, which determines what amount of minimum income should be per person in the family. Today it is 4 500 UAH
“This pilot project is designed for two years. In parallel, the government is already working to make it constant,” Sviridenko added.
How to use the serviceThe press service of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity explained that in order to apply online, the “action” requires a biometric document – an ID card or a foreign passport, as well as a verified tax number (ROCPP).
At the same time, this service is temporarily unavailable for recipients of assistance for children who are raised in large families. These families may apply to the nearest service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine with a written statement.
To use the service you need:
- update the action “Action” and to be authorized;
- go into the section of services, state assistance, basic social assistance, receive assistance;
- wait for the notification with the calculation of the monthly amount;
- If everything suits, you must click the application and choose “Action. Card”;
- check the statement and confirm that you give up other types of assistance – they will be combined into one payment;
- sign the application “Action. Signature” and send an invitation for signature to adult family members;
- when all signatures are collected, the statement is automatically sent;
- After approval, you will receive a assistance alert.
The Ministry of Social Policy reminded that on October 1, the experimental project will expand for the provision of basic social assistance to all other categories of persons whose financial and property status will meet the criteria for providing such assistance.
Social assistance in Ukraine is the main newsIn July, it became known that the Ministry of Social Policy planned to introduce a new type of social assistance with a single approach to its appointment. Thus, since July, the experiment for existing social payments has lasted. The purpose of this program is to appoint payments on a single principle of one assistance that combines several existing ones.
On September 17, the government approved a bill that provides for basic social assistance instead of several types of state payments. It was proposed to transform state social assistance from January 1, 2026 to low -income families into basic social assistance and unite certain types of state aid.
