According to the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, a record 18 million Ukrainians applied for the “Winter Support” program, last year this figure was 14.4 million. The largest number of applications (14.3 million) was made online through the “Action” application, among them 3.3 million applications for children, and all of them have already received assistance.

Another 1.9 million applications were submitted at Ukrposhta branches, of which 124,000 were for children – payments for these applications are ongoing. Almost 2 million recipients of pensions and social benefits through Ukrposhta received the “winter thousand” in a special account along with regular payments.

Where can you spend the “winter thousand”In general, the “winter thousand” can be spent on goods of Ukrainian production – in particular, food products (except for excise goods), medicines and books. You can also pay utility and postal services or make charitable contributions.

The agency notes that most often Ukrainians use aid to pay for utilities, purchase medicine and food.

Trade networks where you can use “Winter Support” are gradually expanding. Now you can pay for products in stores of the Blyzenko, Auchan, SPAR, Varus, Torba, Sim23, Simi, Novus, Liga prim and Fozzy Group stores – Silpo, Fora, THRASH!ТРАШ!, Fozzy.

In addition, the National Cashback card can be used to pay for online purchases at the MAUDAU and Rozetka marketplaces.

Funds received on the National Cashback card through Diya must be used by June 30, 2026. As of December 31, Ukrainians made payments in the amount of over UAH 8.5 billion.

Recipients of assistance through Ukrposhta, both those to whom the payment was made automatically, and those who independently filled out the application at the branches, will be able to spend one thousand by the end of February 2026.

“Winter Thousand” and Natskeshbek – the latest newsFrom November 15 to December 24, 2025, all Ukrainians had the opportunity to apply for a one-time benefit in the amount of 1,000 hryvnias. Funds are sent to the “National Cashback” card.

In November, the list of goods and services that you can spend money on “Natskeshbek” changed. Since December 11, Ukrainians have had the opportunity to buy products of Ukrainian production, except for excise goods, with the funds of the state programs “Winter Support” and “National Cashback”.

Since December 18, online purchases of products using the funds of “Winter Support” and “National Cashback” have become available to Ukrainians.
