Sandu offered Aleksand Muntian for the post of Prime Minister of Moldova / photo: REUTERSOn Friday, October 24, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, announced that she had signed a decree on the appointment of businessman Alexander Muntianu, who has been living in Ukraine for more than 20 years, as a candidate for the country’s prime minister. Sandu published the decree on her Facebook page.
It is noted that the President of Moldova made the decision after consultations with parliamentary factions. Sandu wished Muntian success in forming the government.
“I wish him success in forming a government that will win the trust of the parliament and meet the most important expectations of citizens: protecting peace, preparing the country for joining the EU, strengthening the economy and raising the standard of living of the population,” she added in the message.
