Russia’s war strategy is suicidal, but it won’t stop Putin – Foreign Policy

The West must help Ukraine win.

According to the Foreign Policy article, today one of the darkest places on the planet is the central storage of the remains of fallen soldiers in Rostov-on-Don. Photos were shared on the network, which show that it is seriously overloaded. Even more bodies of the occupiers remained in the Ukrainian fields:

“The appalling rate at which Russians are dying on the front lines — far higher than the corresponding Ukrainian losses, though the exact figures are kept secret by both sides — points to two disturbing truths about the Russian way of waging war.”

Thus, Russian disdain for human life extends to its own troops – they are constantly used in “meat assaults”. And the mass death of soldiers is part of an increasingly overt eugenics policy, the goal of which is to rid the Russian Federation of “undesirable elements” and change the configuration of the population.

The publication indicates a much higher rate of death in the war of Buryats, Tatars and Tuvans, while the residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg are trying to be protected from the war. In addition, the prisons on the territory of the Russian Federation were practically emptied. A decisive role in Moscow’s eugenics program is played by Ukrainians who were deliberately resettled from the occupied territories, and Russians brought in their place.

“Tens of thousands, if not hundreds, of abducted children are Russified to strip them of any Ukrainian identity, a clear echo of the Nazi policy of eugenics, when blond Polish children were taken back to the Reich to be adopted and turned into Germans. Some of the Ukrainian boys are already old enough for forced conscription into the Russian army – another war crime in an already long list,” the article says.

Currently, the fate of the war actually depends on the will of the West to support Ukraine. In particular, the final weeks of Joe Biden’s presidency could be decisive:

“Russia still has a numerical advantage, but its resources are not limitless. Russia’s suicidal strategy of warfare, while effective, is not sustainable in the long term, especially as the Russian economy is already showing signs of tremendous strain.”

Losses of Russia in UkraineAccording to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the invading army of the Russian Federation has lost more than 732 thousand soldiers.
