The presenter asked Rubio if he would go to the election in 2028. However, the Secretary of State replied that it would be Vance if he wanted it.
“The next candidate from the Republican Party, I think, will be Vice president, if he decides to run, and he is my good friend, and he does his job well,” Rubio said.
He stressed that they had a “wonderful team” and that everyone is working “for the President”. In this regard, the Secretary of State explained that it distinguishes the work of the President and his team.
“The President’s work and our work are what people sometimes confuse. Our work is to introduce the agenda of the President. Can we give advice? Can we give ideas? Yes. But in the end, he is a man who was chosen by Americans,” Rubio stressed.

Vance himself does not exclude that he will run for President in 2028. He has recently hinted about it in an interview. “I do not like to think about it (the opportunity to run for the post of President of the United States – UNIAN), because I like to think about the work I have now. If we can handle in 2025-2026, then we can talk about politics in 2027. Americans are tired of those who have been thinking about seven months.”
