The President of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin has set the goal of ousting Ukrainian troops from the Kursk Region (RF) by January 20, 2025 – the date of the US President’s inauguration, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in a conversation with journalists during the 3rd International Conference on Food “Grain from Ukraine” security company.

“I’m sure he is (Putin – ed.) wants to displace us (from Kurshchyna – ed.) until January 20. It is very important for him to demonstrate that he is in control of the situation. But he does not control the situation. The Kursk operation is not a toy. We have shown that he is not capable of fully defending his state. He threw everything at the occupation and destruction of Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

He also emphasized that “Russia has not yet suffered such losses as it is currently in the Kursk direction.” At the same time, the president noted that “the situation in the east of Ukraine is the most difficult now.”

“He (Putin – ed.) wants to show that he will fulfill the so-called tasks of the SVO – he occupies the entire Donbas, and he needs to push us out of the Kursk direction. He has these two tasks,” Zelenskyi said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on November 21 that an attack was made on the command post of Russian troops in the Kursk region – there are dead and wounded. But, according to him, “the command and operational staff were not injured.”

Bloomberg reported on November 20, citing a Western official familiar with the matter, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used British cruise missiles for the first time against military facilities on the territory of Russia.

According to the publication’s interlocutor, Great Britain approved the use of Storm Shadow missiles in response to Russia’s deployment of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine. At the same time, the British government did not officially announce such a move.

On November 20, Defense Express suggested that the strike could be aimed at an object in the Kursk region, where the command of the Russian army group in this region was located together with North Korean generals.
