The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is considering the possibility of purchasing air defense systems with the proceeds from Russian frozen assets.
He held talks with the delegation of the Defense Industry Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Italy, according to the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The issue of purchasing ammunition for these systems for the same funds was also raised.
“We are interested, among other things, in ammunition of various calibers and anti-aircraft defense systems. However, one should understand the cost and terms during which they can be delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” Klochko noted.
In addition, Klochko, representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Strategy and Industry were able to “get acquainted with the products of Italian defense companies.”
