It is noted that the survey was conducted by the CBOS Public Opinion Research Center from November 27 to December 8, 2025. Poles were asked who, in their opinion, deserves the title of politician of the year at the national and international levels. The respondents themselves named the candidates from among the politicians they knew.
US President Donald Trump was named the best international politician of 2025 in Poland – he was chosen by 11 percent of respondents. Zelensky took second place with 5 percent of the vote, and French President Emmanuel Macron (3%) rounded out the top three.
As noted, other politicians were mentioned by a small number of respondents. So, about 1% named the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, former President of the USA Joe Biden, Mayor of New York Zogran Mamdani, Pope Leo XIV, Vice President of the USA JD Vance.
Among domestic politicians in Poland, President Karol Nawrocki received the most votes (16%), while Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski shared the second and third places in the rating (8% each).
