Security Situation in Europe: The latest newsAs UNIAN reported earlier, Europe will have to delay their belts and increase defense expenses due to the fact that US President Donald Trump has threatened to reduce the support of the continent from America and through Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. European leaders are discussing the possibility of increasing defense costs in the next decades from 2 to 3.5% of GDP or even higher.

It was also noted that France’s “nuclear umbrella” is currently unable to protect Europe. Experts say that the nuclear arsenal of France, which is about 300 warheads, is too small to protect the whole region. For comparison, in the US, 5000 warheads, in Russia – 5580, some of which have recently been moved to Belarus.
