As Reuters writes, he is threatened to present a vote of no confidence. It is about Trudeau’s key ally – the leader of the New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh. He helped keep the prime minister in office, but now says he will table a formal vote of no confidence when the elected House of Commons returns from its winter break on January 27.

“It doesn’t matter who leads the Liberal Party, this government’s time is up. We will table a clear vote of no confidence in the next sitting of the House of Commons,” Singh said.

The leader of the Bloc Quebecois, the largest opposition party, has pledged to support the proposal and stressed there is no scenario in which Trudeau will stay. If all opposition parties join the initiative, Trudeau will lose his position after more than 9 years as prime minister. After that, elections will be held.

The Liberals, suffering from voter fatigue and anger over high prices and the housing crisis, are suffering a crushing defeat from the official opposition, the centre-right Conservatives, according to polls over the past 18 months.

Canadian aid to UkraineIn July, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair announced plans to transfer more than 2,000 unarmed CRV7 missiles and a list of other types of weapons to Ukraine.

It was also reported that Canada will provide Ukraine with more than 2.3 million dollars for the production of UAVs and about 10 million dollars for the Czech initiative for the production and procurement of projectiles.

Subsequently, Canada handed Ukraine four new armored vehicles of its own production. In total, it is planned to transfer 50 such vehicles.

In addition, this summer Trudeau provided a $360 million military aid package to Ukraine from Canada.

In November, Canada gave Ukraine an additional air defense system, and earlier this month, the Associated Press reported that Canada may transfer banned firearms to Ukraine.
