According to the Deputy Minister of Economy, specific amounts are not yet discussed in the framework of negotiations.

It is about creating a tool for joint investment and mutual benefits. Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka told this on the air of a telephone.
“As part of the agreement, we do not talk about numbers. I think there are many people who express their evaluations about certain elements of the agreement, and they are based on press messages. I cannot call them false, I cannot refute or confirm. But rather, these are the elements of discussion that can be conducted.”
The duck emphasized that in the negotiation process the United States has not yet called specific amounts that they want to receive through an agreement with Ukraine.
“It is now about developing a tool that would provide further assistance from the United States, investment in Ukraine, earning investments in Ukraine and Ukraine and the United States. And we will be glad if these investments will be greater than the US assistance,” the Deputy Minister of Economy added.
According to Dachka, the benefit of the US Agreement is to earn investments in Ukraine. However, this cannot be considered as a “debt payment” for the assistance provided.
“This is not a payment, not a debt, it is a belief in our future.
The Deputy Minister of Economy also stated that the project of the mineral agreement is currently unfinished. According to him, both parties still have to do a lot of work.
“This week we want to summarize a certain intermediate result, simply fix a joint statement, a memorandum about intentions – to reflect on a letter of progress … maybe even today a document will be signed,” Duck said.
Mineral extraction agreement is important newsEarlier, the Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko stated that Ukraine and the US had made significant progress in the work on minerals. According to her, the agreement will be subject to ratification in the Council and will allow investment and development in Ukraine.
In addition, US Finance Minister Scott Bessant said that an agreement with Ukraine on minerals could be signed this week. He shared that last weekend Ukraine has made this issue with a counter -proposition, so negotiations are still ongoing.
