He says the fate of the island will be decided by people.

The politician wrote on his Facebook page that the Greenlanders should listen when others talk about them, but they should not “shake.” According to Nielsen, Greenland does not belong to anyone else and decides his future:
“We should not respond to fear. We must respond with peace, dignity and unity. And it is because of these values that we must clearly and calmly show the President of the United States that Greenland is ours. Yes, it was yesterday. So it is today. And so it will be.”
Trump wants to get GreenlandRecall that after returning to the White House, the President of the United States of America Donald Trump said that the control of the island is necessary for the national security of the country.
Trump did not exclude the possibility of using military force or economic pressure to achieve this goal, emphasizing that he was not going to shoot any options.
Denmark and Greenland stated that the island is autonomous and its future is determined by the Greenland themselves.
