According to “Public”, Georgy Tykhy, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, told journalists after the negotiations with the Russians.

“As you know, we have a long experience in negotiating with the Russians since 2014. The Ukrainian delegation has coped well, calmly. Our main position remained unchanged,” he said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed that Ukraine’s representatives were ready to negotiate the ceasefire during the negotiations. However, Russia’s representatives had a limited mandate to make such decisions during negotiations.
The quiet also reported that China and Brazil support the ceasefire. “We want to see their support now, they have an impact on Russia, but there should be a complete ceasefire – not for a tick, not for 30 days, 60 or 90. We are ready for that,” he said.
Negotiations in IstanbulAs reported by UNIAN, during the first of 2022 a direct meeting representatives of Ukraine and Russia discussed the ceasefire, a large -scale exchange of prisoners 1000 to 1000 and the possibility of a personal meeting of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov regarding the discussion of a personal meeting between Zelensky and Putin said that the teams are currently working on it.
At the same time, the head of the Russian negotiation group, Vladimir Medinsky, stated that Ukraine initiated a meeting of the leaders of the two states, so Moscow “took it”.
