“I also decided to change the format of the work of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. I offered Mykhailo Fedorov to become the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Mykhailo is deeply involved in issues related to the “Line of Drones”, works very effectively in the digitalization of public services and processes. Together with all our military, with the military command, together with the national weapons manufacturers and partners of Ukraine, we need to implement such changes in the field of defense that will help… Fedorov will be able to implement all this and add technology. Denis I offered Shmyhal to lead another direction in state work – and no less important for our stability,” the president said.
According to him, personnel decisions in the institutions will soon be made, and the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service will be announced soon.
“Today, a significant internal reboot has begun – the changes are aimed at making Ukraine more stable… Last year, state institutions showed both good results that need to be strengthened, and problems that cannot be carried over into the new year,” he added.
It is worth noting that he is the youngest minister in the Ukrainian government – he is 34 years old.
Personnel changes in UkraineToday, President Zelenskyi signed decrees on the appointment of Kyryll Budanov as the head of the Office of the President, and Oleg Ivashchenko as the head of the GUR.
Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko will soon submit candidacies to replace the head of the State Border Service, President Zelenskyi said. Serhii Deineko, the current head of the State Security Service, will continue working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
