The politician noted that Belarus “like no other” is interested in a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine, because it seems to threaten their borders.
“And against this background, accusations of our country aiding aggression look absurd. Being located in the neighborhood of Ukraine, Belarus, like no other, is interested in the fastest possible peaceful settlement of this conflict. It is quite reasonable that no country wants armed actions to flare up near its borders.” – said Ambrazevych.
The diplomat noted that precisely because of this, Belarus took “peacemaking steps” from the very beginning to prevent the escalation of the conflict.
“And that’s why we stated from the very beginning that we claim a place at the table of peace negotiations regarding Ukraine when they begin. It is important for us to receive guarantees of our own security. The final agreements must necessarily take into account, in particular, the interests of the Belarusian side,” he added Ambrazevych

He emphasized that all the negotiations that are currently being discussed will not take place in one day.
