Medicines prices do not fall / photo UNIANManufacturers of medicines are in no hurry to comply with the NSDC decision to reduce medicines, the political scientist and military Cyril Sazonov said.
According to him, after the statement of the President and the NSDC about the need to reduce prices for medicines, manufacturers have created a list of 100 drugs, which, in their opinion, should cheat. However, according to the expert, most drugs in this list are not critical for medical care, but only those who are not “harmful” to reduce in price.
“The list includes ascorbines with different tastes that have nothing to do with real needs at the front or in hospitals,” Sazonov said.
The political scientist also expressed doubt that medicines are reduced due to real medical needs, not for the financial benefits of manufacturers. He suggested that the list was formed on the basis of residues in warehouses and margins, not the need for medicines.
“It looks like this is more PR-actions than real help to people,” he summed up.
Sazonov added that the decrease in prices for a number of drugs was only due to the profitability of pharmacies, which in turn could threaten the closure of a number of pharmacy establishments, in particular in the frontal regions.
