Canada Prime Minister and French President have also been willing to work together to continue to support Ukraine and security in Europe at a time when the United States “intends to negotiate directly with Russia.”

“We both support sovereignty and safety, as evidenced by our adamant support for Ukraine. Canada will always be near to guarantee Europe’s safety,” Carni said, emphasizing France’s joint desire to “maintain the most positive relations with the United States.”

He emphasized that Canada and France “should strengthen our diplomatic ties to confront this more and more unstable and dangerous world”, as well as to create new “opportunities for our entrepreneurs.”
