Only in the last year, Tkachuk managed to become a participant in a number of scandals, reports George Tuka.
According to Tuka, some American experts are concerned about the flagrant cases of corruption in Ukraine during the war and how this will affect Ukraine’s position during possible peace talks after Donald Trump takes office as the US president.
“Americans are convinced that the new White House administration knows about corruption, and this knowledge will be used to put pressure on President Zelensky to agree to the terms that will be offered,” he said.
Tuka emphasized that even American analysts believe that the signing of any kind of peace agreement can lead to an “explosion” inside the country, because citizens inside the country have a great demand for social justice, especially in relation to corruption, as shown by various sociological surveys.
“As an example, I want to cite specific circumstances regarding a specific person. We will be talking about the Bureau of Economic Security, which had high hopes, in particular, in an environment that was concerned about the level of corruption in the state,” Tuka said.
Tuka noted that Oleksandr Tkachuk is one of the most important officials in the BEB, who manages all detectives of the Bureau and, in fact, all BEB processes at the time of the pre-trial investigation.
“In a short period of time, this person managed to get into a whole series of scandals, which at the same time were quite vividly covered in the media. There is zero reaction from the authorities and the management of the BEB,” he said.
According to Tuka, BEB employees deliberately and without reason block the export of Ukrainian grain abroad. Dry cargoes are at the port, and a day of such downtime costs entrepreneurs from 10 thousand dollars. At the same time, as Tuka adds, grain traders publicly stated that they demand a bribe of 100,000 dollars from them when cargo is blocked.
“This was reported by the media and the head of the parliamentary investigative commission, which investigates the effectiveness of the BEB, Yaroslav Zheleznyak. According to Zheleznyak, Tkachuk is directly involved in the actions of the detectives in the Odesa port. And if that sounds like it, there should be an immediate reaction of law enforcement agencies, which there is none. Language it’s about billions of hryvnias, which BEB employees are trying to put in their pockets”, – stressed Giorgiy Tuka.
He called the story of the Lviv tobacco factory, where illegal tobacco products are stamped in large quantities, the second episode. Thus, according to Tuka, Romanian border guards recently seized the cargo of this factory worth about 7 million euros, which is just one case out of many.
“And when the BEB investigators visited the factory, recommendations were received from Tkachuk to slow down the investigative actions, and now they are suspended,” said the volunteer.
The property status of Tkachuk also raises questions: according to Tuka, the declaration of a BEB official revealed the purchase in 2023 of an apartment in Kyiv on Podil with an estimated value of $117,000, which was registered to his mother.
Another possible offense is the forgery of documents for a business trip abroad: as the businessman said, during the meeting of the investigative commission, it became clear that Tkachuk went on a business trip abroad in 2023, but at the same time he was on vacation at his own expense.
Tuk called Tkachuk’s participation in a traffic accident in which a young woman lost her legs as another egregious case, and the investigation has not yet been conducted.
“What’s more, he was involved in an accident with a Toyota Camry belonging to an Odesa company whose activities are related to the activities of the Odesa port. Several months have passed, and no action has been taken regarding the investigation,” the volunteer emphasized.
Tuka emphasized that he described several episodes that happened only in the last year.
As UNIAN reported, Oleksandr Tkachuk, the head of the main detective unit of the Bureau of Economic Security, may be dismissed from his post after the restart of the Security Service, said Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
In the summer of this year, Oleksandr Tkachuk, the head of the Main Detective Division of the Security Intelligence Service of Ukraine, was driving a Toyota Camry on Stolychny Shose in the city of in Kyiv, ran over a woman, as a result of which the latter suffered amputation of both legs. With the passage of almost half a year within the framework of the case, Tkaček has still not been notified of the suspicion.
