In particular, according to the department, the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney, the Inheritance Register, and the Unified Register of Special Forms of Notarial Documents have become operational.

“From now on, notaries can fully register powers of attorney, wills and inheritance cases, as well as check special forms,” ​​the ministry assured.

It was also explained that all notarial actions, which were performed during the absence of access to the registers, will be entered within 5 working days. And they added that “enhanced cyber protection measures have been implemented.”

“We are working on the opening of other registers. Follow the updates on the official pages of the Ministry of Justice on Facebook and Telegram,” the department said.

Russian cyber attack on state registers: importantThe largest external cyber attack on the state registers of Ukraine in recent times took place on December 19. The work of the Unified and State registers, which are under the competence of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, has been temporarily suspended. The primary recovery time was predicted to be approximately 2 weeks.

According to the mass media, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine plans to fire Oleksiy Berezhny, the general director of the National Information Systems State Enterprise. It is this state-owned enterprise that manages the registers of the Ministry of Justice, which were attacked by Russian hackers.

People’s deputy Oleksandr Fedienko suggested that the cyberattack could have been caused by bribery of officials working with the registers.
