Kubrakov was appointed adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine

Oleksandr Kubrakov was appointed adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine on a public basis, according to the corresponding statement of the department.

“The appointment of Oleksandr Kubrakov will help to improve a number of processes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure the proper functioning of the supply and logistics system. I am confident that his significant state and practical experience will contribute to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities,” said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umyerov.

Previously, Kubrakov worked in the positions of Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Chairman of Ukravtodor.

On May 9, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleksandr Kubrakov from the post of Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.

Kubrakov said that he did not discuss the possibility of his dismissal with the leadership of the Servant of the People faction and the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal.

Oleksandr Kubrakov headed the unified Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure in December 2022. However, the Servant of the People presidential faction decided to divide this department again.
